Product Description
Solstice features a patent-pending solid body design custom engineered and optimized for you. Building on the classic Andromeda sonic signature, Solstice is a reference tool for artists and audiophiles alike. Each pair is made by hand for an unsurpassed fit and finish. And as always, designed and assembled in Portland, Oregon USA. Hours of listening pleasure without fatigue. Two custom-fit style options are offered; Audiophile Fit and Artist Fit.
The Audiophile Fit offers a shallow seal depth without the unnecessary added length of traditional in-ear monitors for the stage. This fit is comfortable and is easy to enjoy wearing in a wide variety of conditions and locations. From a daily work commute to a studio mix-down, this is a great fit style for everyday use.
The Artist Fit offers a more traditional seal depth to ensure the necessary sonic isolation and added security you need for demanding on-stage performances. Extending into the ear canal, this fit style is excellent for the professional musician.
Using the Campfire classic Andromeda driver configuration and sonic signature as a springboard, Campfire created a custom-fit earphone that is something truly sonically special. With a custom fit and modified acoustic chamber design, Solstice extends well beyond the edges first explored by Andromeda. Spacious high-frequency extension. Deep bass with plenty of sub-bass presence as support. However, the balance and even-handedness of Andromeda remain intact. This gives Solstice the immediate feature of playing well across genre and circumstance; a superb and versatile performer.
Solstice features a meticulously buffed and hand-polished finish. The wonderfully smooth earphone body conforms comfortably to your individual ear shape; engineered to your anatomy. Solstice is completed with a polished stainless steel cap. This cap serves the dual purposes of both protecting the sensitive internal components of the earphone and securely fastening the MMCX connector to the earphone’s body. This ensures a reliable and lasting connection to the earphone.
Note: The Solstice is a custom-fit model that requires a scan of your ear canals by an Audiologist.
Which Campfire Model for Me?
When choosing a Campfire model there are a few important considerations…
- The first is which model(s) fit within your budget.
- The second is whether your amplifier/device has better synergy with a Dynamic Driver, Balanced Armatures, or a combination of the two.
- The third is which kind of sonic characteristics you prefer.
Dynamic Driver vs. Balanced Armature
An IEM Dynamic Driver is like a miniature version of the drivers in your stereo speakers, where electromagnetic impulses move the driver membrane forward and backward. Dynamic Driver sound is rounder, with more groove and body, and is best paired with an amp and music with adequate detail and articulation.
A Balanced Armature is an even smaller assembly, where electromagnetic impulses vibrate tiny rods and those vibrations travel through a membrane. Balanced Armature sound is more finely-detailed, dynamic, fast, and has greater extension, but is also less forgiving and is best paired with an amp and music with adequate warmth and body.

Reviews
Proaudiotimes
“Solstice offers reference-grade sonics suitable for the purist audiophile, discerning musician, or technically focused engineer. Its overall fidelity is deep and resolved with notable detail retrieval and spatial characteristics.
Imaging and depth is expansive. Music sounds like it’s in an actual dimensional environment. With Radiohead’s “Subterranean Homesick Alien“, Solstice is a gateway into its vast soundscape. For mixing music, this allows for unique insight into panning, reverbs and delays.
At $1500, this isn’t the cheapest point of entry for a CIEM, but if apex-level build quality, ergonomics and performance is what you’re after, you might find yourself falling in love with Solstice.”
