Product Description
Warmer. Smoother.
The micro iDSD Black Label adds warmth, depth, and smoothness to your favorite tunes. Put simply, your music will sound better than it ever has.
World superpower
The micro iDSD Black Label is the world’s most powerful, battery-powered DAC and headphone amplifier, capable of unrivaled native playback in DSD, PCM, and DXD file formats. Now with internal MQA decoding!
iFi has included their sonic enhancement controls to add that little bit extra to your listening…
- XBass+® cleans and restores the bass to give you a richer, deeper sound,
- 3D+® opens up your music to create a live-concert atmosphere.
Sense and sensitivity
The headphone amplifier is a force to be reckoned with.
With 4,000mW, the micro iDSD Black Label can drive from the most sensitive IEMs up to the most power-hungry headphones out there.
It comes with 3 power output settings so that it can be adjusted to work with any earbuds or headphones.
Sense and sensitivity
The micro iDSD Black Label has a battery life of up to 12 hours, and should your phone need a boost, the micro BL can charge it from 0% to 100% through the USB charging port on the side — not once, but twice!
And finally, there’s the sleek black and orange design. She’s funky, fun, and a flattering addition to any music lover’s system.

TI low-noise ICs offer great unity-gain bandwidth, very low noise, and distortion, high output drive capability, Common-mode, and Power Supply Rejection Ratios of over 100 dB, wide maximum-output-swing bandwidths, and high slew rates. Learn more here.

Doubling the DAC chips results in a 3dB lower noise floor and better channel separation. Together with power supply advancements and advanced channel interleaving, the noise floor has been halved. All of this equals stellar sonic performance.

iFi always uses the best components possible. These OS-CON™ capacitors provide excellent noise reduction and have a long life span. They are not often found in products costing <US$1000.Read more about how they benefit sound improvement here

This OV series operational amplifier is another example of a top-notch component used to get extremely low noise, low distortion (0.0001%), and wide bandwidth. Learn more here.

This is it
I had to return a different iFi product since it stopped working in a week, but I tried giving iFi another go. You will not regret this product; the design is great, and the sound is top notch. Drives my headphones and IEMs perfectly.

Great sound
I use this with my HD800S and HifiMan HEKs and it sounds excellent. It’s not far off my main rig set up which costs a lot more so very pleased. I NEVER use things like bass boost, but it has transformed my HD800S listening and I think this unit is well worth the price. Had a few issues with MQA dropping out occasionally, but apart from that it’s been excellent

Best portable for sound quality
I use this to drive HIFIMAN Sundaras and Audio Technica R70x headphones. I use both my phone and laptop as a source with CD quality files and MQA from tidal. First Off this thing has power both headphones i use are very power hungry. Even on eco mode this thing will get painfully loud without a hint of a distortion. The battery is also great i listen to music while i work for 10hours and have never had the battery die on me.
As for sound quality i use my reference setup involving a khadas tone board DAC and THX 888 amplifier riving sundarras as a very neutral revealing setup. When i compare this setup and the IFI i noticed clarity is the same but the ifi has a smoother, musical and overall more pleasant to listen to over a long period of time. This thing may be expensive but it is a solid piece for quality sound on the go.

Highly recommend
I love everything about this amp, is sounds amazing, battery life is great, and it is just portable enough for my needs. Highly recommend. Works great w my mac and iphone too. Youll need the cck camera adapter for your iphone.
Not just best value; best, period.
Portable hi-fi enthusiasts are often smitten by that virus that makes you think “the higher the price, the better the quality.” I own or have owned much-more expensive DAC/Amps such as the Chord Hugo (1 and 2), ALO Continental Dual Mono, Woo Audio WA8 Eclipse, among others, and none can match the sheer musicality of the Black Label. Whatever its minor flaws, this is one magical piece of gear that can make any headphone shine in my experience.
Case in point, the Argon MK3 modded T50RP headphones. I never understood what all the hoopla was about until I plugged them into the Black Label with the 3D enhancement switch turned on—a match made in audiophile heaven. Which brings me to this: Unlike sound altering functions in other devices, those in the Black Label really improve the sound of overly dark or bright headphones. These features are not there for show.
Let’s talk about power. This device has tons of it. In addition to the power-hungry Argons, the Black Label drives my Sennheiser HD650s effortlessly and beautifully, bringing out the best in these classic cans.
Whatever gear (portable or otherwise) you may be thinking of buying next, this is the one to get.
