High Capacity Seismic Isolation Pods (set of 4) By Townshend Audio

Townshend Audio products are imported from the United Kingdom and are designed by Max Townshend, one of the most innovative designers in the industry. For isolation of smaller capacities, Jaguar recommends the HifiStay Gyrotension footers; these footers allow for fully-adjustable load capacity ranging from 5 – 140 lbs / set of 4. However, for higher capacity loads, Townshend’s Capacity E and F Seismic Isolation Pods offer the ability to accommodate a much higher load for the same cost.

The Townshend spring mechanisms are vastly more effective at absorbing vibration than bearing or point devices (speaker spikes actually facilitate transmission). We never bought into the concept of speaker isolation until we tried Townshend’s speaker isolation devices in our own reference system. A substantial amount of vibration energy is absorbed into the spring-loaded isolation devices, which not only lessens the amount of sound transferred into the floor below but the energy loading your listening space is gone, giving your music ease and freedom…bass and treble frequencies tighten up and yield more definition from top to bottom.
