The frerot is a high-quality digital-to-analog converter designed for exceptional audio performance. It offers a variety of input options, including one USB, two RCA, and two Toslink connections. The USB input is built on advanced Amanero technology, featuring two precise oscillators that ensure a low-jitter music signal, which is further safeguarded by capacitive isolator components for complete galvanic isolation. The other inputs also benefit from galvanic isolation and de-jittering through high-quality transformers, keeping the signal free from external interference.

For digital-to-analog conversion, the frerot uses the highly respected 1794A converter module from Burr Brown. The analog current signal is expertly converted into a voltage signal through a discrete setup, buffered in Class A technology, and routed to the output. With its fully balanced design, the frerot delivers four independent channels from the converter module to the output, ensuring outstanding clarity and fidelity.

The power supply system is designed with precision, featuring ten individual power supplies dedicated to each functional unit. Unlike larger models, the frerot supplies all four output channels from a single source, regulated by an efficient switching voltage regulator.
