“I think this is an excellent preamp and amp combination. But excellent preamp and amp combinations won’t transform your system if it has significant problems with room treatment and setup and speaker distortions and DAC nastiness. The Audio Research S-100 and LS-3 could, however, make a very good system better. They could also form the basis for building a great system.”
