Product Description

Ground Master – The Safe and Effective Way To Eliminate Ground Noise

A stable and noise-free ground connection is essential for maintaining the accuracy of your system voltages and allowing your audio and video components to perform at their full potential.

While a dedicated earth connection is the ideal way to eliminate ground-line noise, installing one can often involve complex safety, installation, and regulatory considerations. The Puritan Ground Master offers a practical and highly effective solution, making it easier to achieve a cleaner, quieter grounding environment for your system.

Modern electronic devices commonly use high-frequency switching power supplies that send unwanted interference into the Earth line. Because electrical substations serve many homes simultaneously, your system’s ground connection may be linked to thousands of other appliances, introducing unwanted noise into your HiFi setup.

When used with up to three grounding rods, the Puritan Ground Master helps identify and channel interference and disturbance frequencies through a low-impedance path to ground, significantly reducing noise and improving system performance.

Key Benefits:

  • Dedicated Custom Guide Array for optimized grounding performance
  • 12 Individually Tuned Frequency Guides to target and remove interference
  • Simple and straightforward installation
  • Effective reduction of ground-line noise
  • Lower noise floor for quieter backgrounds and finer detail
  • Wider, deeper three-dimensional soundstage
  • Stable and precise imaging for a more immersive listening experience

Note: Do not connect a Puritan power conditioner and a Route Master to a single Ground Master (use a separate Ground Master for each).

The Audiophile Man
Of course, some hi-fi users might find the Ground Master impractical. Those living in flats/apartments, for example. For everyone else, as you will see below, the Ground Master can be the beginning of a rather complex array of gizmos that sit in and around the central box. You can buy varying lengths of wire, as you might expect, but you can buy extended rod lengths and you can also add a conductive soil compound in the ground, around the copper rod that, I hear, is also utilised by utility companies. I’m afraid that I was unable to test the latter. This review at least provides a start, a launch pad. From this point you can experiment and tweak to your heart’s content.

Hi-Fi choice
the Ground Master connected, there is definitely a noticeable reduction in the background noise in my setup. Silences between tracks seem darker and, overall, I feel that the music has a slightly improved realism.

“The Vitus DAC changes the sound. It presents it in a warm big expansive fashion. The treble is slightly weak and sweetened. The lower midrange and bass are a little stronger to reinforce the impression of the treble’s withdrawal. Such tonal balance allied with excellent resolution places the sound closer to vinyl (but not to analog per se as master tape still sounds different). It is an engaging sound which gently massages our necks while we immerse ourselves in the next album. Dynamics are high as evidenced by 24/176.4 HRx recordings from Reference Recordings fed from laptop via USB. A large symphony orchestra sounds spectacular because the DAC maintains proper proportions between instruments and at the same time can hit brutally hard when required. “
