The M 40 HV Mono Power Amplifier
The M 40 HV is the Anniversary Edition of T+A’s flagship high-performance monoblock power amplifier designed to meet the most demanding audiophile standards, seamlessly integrating with the HV-series players and pre-amplifiers or any other high-end audio system. Drawing on over 40 years of expertise, T+A combines the best of valve technology, High Voltage amplification, and intelligent thermal control to deliver exceptional sound quality across a wide range of operating conditions.
Valve Technology & Amplifier Concept
At its heart, the M 40 HV uses carefully selected 6SN7 valves in Class-A mode for the input stage, providing a warm and harmonious sound with the tonal richness of valve technology. The input stage employs a symmetrical differential amplifier with an all-valve cascode circuit, while the voltage amplification is handled by a High Voltage (HV) J-FET amplifier with triode characteristics, offering excellent bandwidth and agility. The current amplifier stages utilize MOSFET driver transistors, perfectly complementing the HV voltage amplifier, and are supported by twenty high-performance ring emitter bi-polar transistors at the output, ensuring exceptional current supply and bandwidth for uncompromised audio performance.
Flexibility
Use the pair of M 40 Amplifiers in high-current mode, delivering 60 watts of pure class A power, which is ideal for more sensitive speakers or moderate volumes and use the high-power mode to deliver 1,500 watts of class AB power, for speakers that are very diffiuclt to drive or extremely high volume. Each amp also offers the ability to bi-amp each speaker.
