Product Description

Analysis Plus Silver APEX Phono Cable

The Silver APEX Phono Cable from Analysis Plus represents the brand’s most advanced cable design, engineered to deliver exceptional signal purity for high-performance analog systems. It features the patented Analysis Plus hollow oval geometry — a unique construction where a hollow oval cable is nested within another hollow oval, creating a sophisticated double-shielded architecture that dramatically lowers the noise floor and preserves delicate musical detail.

The conductors are crafted from pure silver over a stabilizing strand of oxygen-free copper, woven into the proprietary hollow-oval structure. This precision design helps maintain signal integrity while minimizing distortion and interference, allowing vinyl playback to reveal greater transparency, dynamics, and micro-detail.

The Silver APEX Phono Cable is available with multiple connector options to suit different turntable setups, including RCA to RCA and DIN to RCA (straight or 90-degree DIN) configurations.

Notes:

  • Longer cable lengths are available as a special order.
  • Jaguar matches sale/discount offers shown on the Analysis Plus website.
  • Jaguar is an authorized retailer for all Analysis Plus products.

Why We Selected Analysis Plus

Jaguar Audio was introduced to Analysis Plus cables through Jonathan Weiss of Oswalds Mill Audio, a highly respected engineer known for building some of the world’s most advanced HiFi systems. His strong preference for Analysis Plus cables stems from their innovative noise-cancelling conductor geometry.

In these cables, individual wire strands are woven into a mesh that surrounds an oval-shaped core running the full length of the cable. This orientation provides outstanding noise rejection and signal stability.

When we first tested Analysis Plus cables in the Jaguar reference system, their performance stood alongside cables many times their price. That experience made it clear that Analysis Plus deserved a place among the carefully selected cable brands offered by Jaguar Audio.

Reviews

The Sound Advocate
“Although the Apex Silvers are silver “coated”, oxygen–free cables, the sound attributes they present are without a doubt extremely revealing of musical detail, fine tonality, and first-rate musical dynamics unto themselves. With so many high-priced cables on the market, some audiophiles will find it difficult to justify their prices accordingly. However, in the case of Analysis Plus Silver Apex Cables, I can incontrovertibly say that these cables brought forth some considerable improvements when applied in context with the particular system components I used them with. You could spend much more on cables from some other manufacturers, but in my opinion, The Analysis Plus’s Silver Apexes provided a sumptuous sound quality and are definitely RECOMMENDED!

PF(positive-feedback)
“The Analysis Plus Silver Apex is a top-flight phono cable, and while I would not call it inexpensive; when compared to the upper tier cables on the market it is certainly attractively priced. Obviously, there is less expensive options, yet in the analog world it is possible to drop a hefty stack of Benjamin’s on a tone arm cable. The Acos GST 801 is a classic Japanese high-performance arm that is built with internal silver wire, so it makes sense to partner it with a silver tone arm cable. All the attributes that make the Silver Apex a great cable for component pairings are even more important in the millivolt region that low output moving coils reside in….”

Note: We have one new EAR HP4 Tube Headphone Amp in stock as of November 2022. EAR makes only one headphone amp model and the HP4 is one of the best in the world. These units take up to 120 days to deliver but we have this one ready to ship immediately from the USA; please call to make sure it’s still available.

Jaguar is proud to offer EAR electronics, known for crafting some of the most musical and refined tube gear available. While many high-end tube amplifier brands exist, often priced far higher than EAR, we focus on amplifiers like EAR and Lamm — products from visionary designers that stand apart as truly unique and exceptional.

The EAR HP4 Headphone Amplifier is regarded as one of the finest in its class. Using four 6SL7 valves matched to a high-quality load through precision transformers, it delivers nearly 1 watt of clean, low-distortion power into both high and low-impedance headphones. The Enhanced Triode Mode circuit, inspired by the acclaimed V20 and 859 integrated amplifiers, ensures stunning audio performance, while the input stage is transformer-coupled for the flexibility to accept both balanced and unbalanced signals from your preamplifier.

Designed for ease of use, the HP4 features an integrated volume control, allowing for direct headphone or loudspeaker listening. Input signals can be independently switched, offering versatility in your audio setup. Built for durability, EAR’s HP4 is engineered to last with an expected valve life of over 10,000 hours.

With the ability to connect up to four pairs of headphones, the HP4 offers Low/High Impedance and Balanced/Single-Ended operation options, ensuring compatibility with virtually any headphone in your collection.

EAR (Esoteric Audio Research), founded by legendary designer Tim de Paravicini, has been synonymous with high-fidelity audio since the 1970s. Renowned for his innovative designs, de Paravicini’s techniques have not only shaped EAR products, but also influenced some of the world’s most respected audio manufacturers. Many of his creations are still highly coveted by audiophiles, with their enduring appeal and unmatched performance.

Beyond consumer audio, Tim de Paravicini has made groundbreaking contributions to professional recording and mastering. His tape systems, microphones, and recording technology have been trusted by iconic artists like Pink Floyd and Lenny Kravitz, as well as prestigious labels such as Altarus and Water Lily Acoustics. Engineers like Robert Ludwig, Joe Gastwirt, and James Guthrie have relied on his designs, and The Exchange, one of the world’s top mastering facilities, uses EAR-designed equipment throughout its entire playback chain. Even Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs uses his LP cutting system and tape playback electronics.

EAR amplifiers are renowned for their ability to reproduce sound with unrivaled purity, free from the colorations and distortions that affect most amplifiers. Tim de Paravicini’s pioneering research into ultrasonic resonances and distortion has revolutionized amplifier design, allowing for a deeper understanding of how technical measurements relate to sonic quality. The result is clear: EAR amplifiers are some of the most accurate and musically engaging amplifiers ever made, providing an unmatched listening experience.
