The EAR 899 is a push-pull stereo integrated amplifier delivering 70 watts per channel into 4, 8, or 16 ohms, serving as the integrated version of the acclaimed 890. It can be used either as a full integrated amplifier or a standalone power amplifier. The 899 features KT90 output tubes, is self-biasing, and offers six line inputs plus a tape output, combining flexibility with the rich, dynamic tube sound that EAR amplifiers are known for.
About EAR
EAR Electronics (originally “Esoteric Audio Research”) is the creation of legendary designer Tim de Paravicini, whose name has been synonymous with ultra-high-fidelity electronics since the 1970s. The PA 3100 HV from T+A is a high-performance integrated amplifier designed for audiophiles seeking reference-level sound quality and exceptional system flexibility. It features a meticulously engineered pre-amplifier section, an upgraded analog power supply, and a powerful voltage delivery system that together provide outstanding clarity, control, and musical dynamics.
For systems requiring even greater performance, the amplifier can be paired with the optional T+A PS 3000 HV Power Supply, which further enhances stability and power reserves—helping the amplifier drive even the most demanding loudspeakers with ease.
The design also allows for additional functionality through optional modules, including a high-end phono pre-amplifier for vinyl playback or an analog signal processor module offering tone and loudness adjustments. Advanced Circuitry & Performance
