Note (9/5/2017): In attempting to use the multimeter method for VTA with my new EAR 834P phono preamp, I found it was not possible to get consistent readings. I ended up using the sight method, with a CD and jeweler loupe. I haven’t done listening comparisons, but I don’t believe any other method would have yielded audible sonic improvement. Taking my time, I had an excellent view even of the tiny diamond on my Triangle Art Apollo cartridge and set it to what appeared to be perfectly vertical under high magnification.
Very nice. Now if you could do a 15 min video of each step but more in depth. I think it would really help out the novice. I also would love to get the documents. Nice setup you have there.

I get where you’re coming from Sturgus. I get where you’re coming from. It is rather difficult for me to imagine every scenario you might encounter on your particular equipment and while I think the video covers 95% of it and there may be a few areas at the margins that were missed or needed a bit more detail.
However, at the end of the day, beginners are going to be a bit overwhelmed with some steps, due to a lack of experience and practice. Certainly it wouldn’t hurt to film every step in detail, but most details, such as tightening down the counterweight, are tasks you’ll figure out and there’s no shortcut to mastering it all.
