Audiophile Streaming Architecture G3
The third-generation Audiophile Streaming Architecture brings seamless connectivity between the HV Series and the digital world, offering an exceptional audio experience. Designed to maximize sound quality and expand source compatibility, the advanced Streaming Generation 3 network boards support signals via WLAN and LAN, enabling access to streaming platforms like Deezer, Qobuz, and Tidal. Additionally, they provide the ability to play high-resolution local network files up to 192/24 (HD) and stream directly from mobile devices using Connect or AirPlay, all in audiophile-grade quality.
These streaming-capable HV devices also support uncompressed FLAC playback via aptX HD Bluetooth, ensuring high-quality wireless audio. A groundbreaking feature is the native streaming of DSD files directly from the network for the first time. The stream is delivered to a True 1-Bit DAC, allowing DSD files to be processed in their original bitstream without any loss in quality, preserving every detail of the music.
With a versatile range of sources and uncompromising sound quality, the HV Series is engineered for those who demand top-tier performance and effortless access to the digital audio world.
Path Separation Technology
This advanced converter architecture takes digital-to-analog conversion to a new level by preserving the integrity of audio signals for unmatched fidelity. Unlike conventional systems that convert DSD signals to PCM before playback, this technology employs a True 1-Bit Converter to process DSD files natively, maintaining their pure 1-bit stream for unaltered playback.
For PCM signals, the cutting-edge Quadruple Converter utilizes a dual-symmetrical design with eight 32-bit Burr-Brown converters. This setup minimizes tonal non-linearities and reduces noise by an additional 6 dB, delivering exceptional dynamic range, linearity, and virtually distortion-free sound.
To refine the listening experience, the Quadruple Converter features custom-designed Bezier filters. These filters, including two NOS stages, offer six options for tailoring the sound to personal preferences or specific recordings. By optimizing time-domain performance, they ensure every note is reproduced with precision and clarity.
This innovative converter architecture delivers unparalleled flexibility and sonic accuracy, offering a listening experience that faithfully reproduces music in its purest form.
CD-SACD Drive
High-end audio is about refining every detail to achieve unparalleled sound quality. True excellence lies in the subtle distinctions that transform ordinary sound into an extraordinary listening experience. For optimal performance, a drive must operate with absolute precision, eliminating even the smallest reading errors that cannot be corrected during signal processing.
This level of perfection is achieved with an innovative mounting mechanism encased in a shielded aluminum housing, crafted from a single solid block for maximum stability. The drive mechanism operates on two precision-engineered linear bearings, mounted on a meticulously milled support plate. Secured by three screws, the design effectively isolates the drive from external vibrations, pressure waves, and mechanical disturbances that could compromise audio integrity.
A high-torque synchronous motor moves the drive block with remarkable smoothness and silence along a decoupled precision spindle. Reinforced with an anti-resonance weight, the drive remains exceptionally stable, ensuring flawless operation and the highest sound quality. This precision engineering guarantees an unparalleled audio experience that exceeds expectations.
Signal Processing
The sound quality of a digital source hinges on the precision of its digital signal processing and the design of its converter. This system is engineered with advanced solutions to ensure exceptional performance in both areas.
Digital signals from both internal and external sources undergo sophisticated processing, tailored to the data format. For PCM signals, DSP oversampling with optimized algorithms ensures superior clarity and detail. Jitter elimination and re-synchronization through advanced clock generation guarantee signal stability, while Path Separation Technology allows for true 1-bit conversion of DSD and quadruple conversion for PCM.
These innovative features work in harmony to deliver an unmatched audio experience, capturing every nuance with unparalleled fidelity and precision.
De-Jitter Masterclock
To capture every nuance of a recording—every note, string pluck, and vocal detail—the audio signal must be free from distortions like jitter, which often originates in the source device. For flawless playback, jitter must be eliminated before the signal reaches the DAC for analog conversion. This is achieved through an advanced two-stage jitter elimination system.
In the first stage, a raw clock is extracted from the incoming data stream and cleaned using a PLL circuit, removing significant jitter caused by the source device or transmission path. In the second stage, the refined clock undergoes meticulous analysis by a microprocessor. If the clock meets stringent criteria for frequency accuracy and stability, the D/A converters switch to a precision master clock generated by ultra-stable quartz oscillators with exceptionally low phase noise, fully isolating it from the source device and eliminating jitter.
For signals that don’t meet the required standards, a secondary PLL stage, known as the “Second Jitterbug,” further refines the clock, reducing residual jitter by a factor of four. This ensures pristine signal integrity, delivering the purest and most accurate audio reproduction possible.

Stereophile
In the best digital sources I’ve heard, all that careful engineering yields—I’ll just go ahead and write it—a certain magic. Magic via science: It’s why I’m in this field. Treble tones glisten like light reflected from the facets of a diamond, and also seem especially relaxed—no digital glare (footnote 4). Bass, while not louder than with other digital sources, has more sturdiness and depth. These characteristics appear to be the cumulative result of attending to all the details. The T+A MP 3100 HV attends to those details and possesses those qualities…
