Even the most premium cartridges, DACs, preamps, and amplifiers cannot perform at their best if unwanted noise is present in the system’s ground line. Ground instability—caused by constant electrical noise—can subtly affect clarity, detail, and overall sonic performance.
The Puritan Silencer is designed to help reduce this issue by acting as an additional grounding link between Hi-Fi or AV components. Using technologies derived from Puritan’s well-known GroundMaster City and GroundMaster City Ultra solutions, the Silencer offers an alternative pathway for undesirable ground currents.
Its sophisticated internal design works by absorbing noise voltages across a wide frequency range and converting them into harmless heat. This helps minimize interference that can compromise audio performance.
The Silencer can be connected in several configurations depending on the system setup, including:
- Chassis-to-chassis grounding
- Signal ground-to-signal ground
- Tonearm ground-to-preamp ground
Compatible cables are available to support a variety of installation requirements.
