Product Description

The DAC204 is a Swiss Army knife for audio enthusiasts and professionals alike. This powerhouse offers unmatched versatility with its ability to seamlessly switch between multiple digital sources and deliver pristine, low-jitter analog audio through its outputs. Plus, it can effortlessly convert DSD audio to PCM.

Versatility Redefined

The DAC204 is a multi-format marvel, ideal for both professional studios and high-end listening rooms. It features an impressive array of input and output options, including four oversampling sigma-delta D/A converters per channel for superior signal-to-noise performance. Connect directly to any USB-equipped device—be it a computer, tablet, or smartphone—or integrate with S/PDIF and AES/EBU sources via the S/PDIF or Toslink connectors.

Audio Excellence

Transform digital streams into high-fidelity analog audio with the DAC204. Its balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA connectors ensure optimal analog output, while its digital-to-digital conversion capabilities allow you to output AES/EBU or S/PDIF formats through dedicated connectors and a BNC output. It also offers the flexibility to convert DSD audio to PCM effortlessly.

Effortless Connectivity

Maintain constant connections with multiple digital sources and switch between them effortlessly using the intuitive front-mounted Input Selector switch.

Cost-Effective Performance

The DAC204 offers exceptional value compared to Weiss Engineering’s higher-end models like the DAC501 and HELIOS. While it may not include the advanced digital processing, headphone outputs, or remote controls found in those models, it delivers impressive performance at a more accessible price point.

Superior Power Supply

Enhance your DAC204’s performance with the optional PSU102 power supply. Designed for hi-fi excellence, this universal, non-switching power supply provides clean, quiet power with minimal noise and exceptional load handling.

Precision Engineering

The DAC204 incorporates a discrete, non-switching, linear voltage regulator that responds swiftly to high-frequency load changes. Featuring low ESR electrolytic capacitors and a toroidal mains transformer, it ensures low magnetic radiation and minimal noise. The unit also includes high-quality Fischer output sockets, an IEC-type power input with a selectable voltage switch (115V or 230V), and robust output capabilities, with settings of 5V, 6V, 9V, or 12V and a current rating up to 1.5A. All outputs are short-circuit proof for reliable operation.

Upgrade your audio experience with the DAC204—a versatile, high-performance solution that stands out in Weiss Engineering’s lineup.
