PP-2000 Phono Cartridge By Phasemation

Phasemation’s continued cartridge research since the company’s founding succeeded in creating auditory lateralization, a phrase often used with headphones to describe localizing sound within the head, and which defines their flagship cartridge, the PP-2000.

The PP-2000 contains the next generation of magnetic circuits used in the PP-1000. The shape of the yoke is newly designed for improved high efficiency and uniformity of the magnetic field. Increased output is achieved without increasing the weight of the vibration system.

The vibration system has been newly designed to pursue the best balance of sound quality. A new special damping material provides more accurate damping characteristics, thereby producing a more atmospheric feeling.

The Cantilever is made of pure boron, Magneto coil, pure iron coil, and bobbin and wire damper made of 6N oxygen-free copper wire. The body material was reformulated to stainless material and duralumin for the best balance of sound quality. DLC (Diamond Like Carbon)* coating improves rigidity and vibration-damping properties to produce maximum detail.

* DLC（Diamond Like Carbon）is a carbon film produced with vapor phase synthesis from ion processing. The high rigidity and high electric insulation are similar to that of a diamond coating.
