Each component is meticulously crafted with the highest quality materials, including the NatureCap capacitor. Handmade in Germany, this intricately designed capacitor utilizes precisely rolled aluminum foil electrodes and a cellulose fiber compound impregnated with biological oils as a dielectric. With a size approximately 25 times larger than capacitors from the XD series, the NatureCap is securely fastened to the circuit board with specially manufactured brackets.

With an expanded voice coil from 100mm to 153mm and a robust 6-inch motor structure, we’ve achieved exceptional power factor and handling while minimizing power compression.

Crafted with precision, the motor structure comprises two high-grade magnets magnetized in Europe’s largest 200,000-volt facility. This results in a remarkable 1.15 Tesla flux density transferred to a 480mm voice coil circumference—a remarkable 50% increase compared to the previous model.

We’ve utilized low carbon steel for the specially designed pole plates to ensure high linearity, complemented by a patented dynamic profile centering and low-loss NBR surround for swift transient response.

The diaphragm, crafted from a composite of long-fiber paper and carbon fiber, guarantees remarkable strength and torsional stiffness for precise pistonic excursion during transient and decay events.

Innovative SingleFrame chassis with robust die-cast aluminum cantilevers encloses the magnet, ensuring stability around the motor structure’s moving components.

Bass amplifier

STRENGTH IN ALL SITUATIONS.

The active subwoofer of the DUO GT is powered by the G3-1000 power module, boasting a built-in 1,000-watt amplifier to accommodate even the most demanding EQ settings.

For seamless operation, the subwoofer can be remotely activated via a 12-volt switching voltage input. Direct connectivity options include speaker-level input terminals for integrated amplifiers, power amplifiers, or receivers. Alternatively, XLR terminals offer line-level inputs. These connections are not only high-impedance but also balanced and transformer-coupled, ensuring a floating circuit ground to prevent hum loops and facilitate compatibility with balanced and bridged amplifier designs.

All electronics are protected by a state-of-the-art E-Fuse circuit, offering faster and safer protection compared to traditional fuses while maintaining optimal sound quality.

Digital crossover.

EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL.

The bass power amplifier features an advanced digital sound processor, offering unparalleled precision and bit accuracy not achievable with analog technology. By utilizing digital crossover technology, all passive filter elements in the signal path are eliminated.

Adjusting the subwoofer volume is made easy with two buttons on the DSP display. Extensive additional settings, including high and low pass filters, equalizers, and more, can be programmed using the Avantgarde Control Software. The DSP is equipped with 2 LAN sockets for daisy-chaining multiple subwoofers for simultaneous programming, with an optional USB connection available.

The user interface has undergone a complete overhaul, now offering intuitive and straightforward operation for users to adjust parameters according to room acoustics or listening preferences.

The BASS-BOOST control enhances low-frequency response below 45 Hz, allowing users to adjust from a “linear” to a “fat” bass response. The 8-band equalizer enables individual frequency adjustments, with each band offering up to 4 dB of boost or cut to tailor the bass response to specific genres or room resonances.

The LPF-RANGE slider adjusts the upper crossover frequency of the subwoofer, influencing the tonal balance of the system. Higher frequencies result in partial overlap with the midrange horn, creating a warmer and fuller sound character, while lower frequencies shift towards a more dynamic and punchy sound.

FILTER 1 & 2 are narrow-band “notch” filters with a level cut of -3dB or -6dB, ideal for eliminating or reducing unwanted narrowband resonant frequencies in the room.
