I can’t believe it really improved sound quality!
I’m not the type to buy anything and everything labeled “audiophile” but I’m open to trying things. Personally I prefer to not hear any improvement to save myself money. I definitely have returned items in the past. Recently I tried the iFi iPower X both in 12v and 15v. I did notice subtle difference, but the difference is so small that it could very well be just some sort of bias so I decided to return them.

Just before I returned the X version, the Elite version happen to come out so I decided to try it. I guess why not. Wow! Going back and forth between the Elite and standard adapter, the improvement in sound is very noticeable across the board with the Elite! I am not very fluent with audiophile lingo, but I’d say there’s better bass, cleaner sound, and micro details are more noticeable overall. Really hate to spend $300 on an adapter, but returning it would mean I will miss out on audio quality!

Better than SBooster linear power supply!
I tested it against the 400 dollar mkii sBooster linear Power supply. It was cleaner faster and more transparent.

Audio upgrade for Chord Qutest DAC
Bought as upgrade for Chord Qutest DAC. The Qutest sounds terrific straight out of the box with the supplied switch mode power supply but this device is a huge improvement over the supplied PSU. Yes, it is expensive and a lot of people probably would scoff at spending that amount, but it certainly improves the clarity and soundstage of my Qutest in my system. I used a Russ Andrews SuperKord to connect the iFi Power Elite to the mains. I didn’t try it with a cheaper mains cable.
